A father represents a child’s first connection to who God the Father is. The children look up to him for everything. If they can trust him for provision, it’s easier to trust God as a Provider. If they can believe his promises, it’s easier to believe God as a Promise Keeper. This understanding Ita Ekpenyong has and it drives him to be a good representation for Peyton-Atim and Dee-Shawn.

As tender and vulnerable as they still are, Ita is an amazing nurturer harnessing the productive energy of his children to that which connects them back to their Maker because he knows what they keep beholding they keep becoming. Ita is a FatherLikeThat.

When Peyton and Dee-Shawn dials in, their calls do not enter voice mail because Ita is present and Ita is available. The ambience of his home fosters growth and promotes an enviable love life.

“God gave me the best when He gave me you.”

We don’t say it often. We sometimes take it for granted too. But, this day we thank you for all that you do, for all that you are and for just being there through thick and thin. We thank you for playing your role in ensuring the next generation is safe and sane. Thank you for being a #FatherLikeThat.

Thank you, Ita.
