It Feels Free to be Free
I answered every call. I replied every message.
I ran every errand. I showed up every time.
I craved their recognition. I needed their endorsement.
The hunger to please was enormous. The desire for approval was massive.
The more I got it the higher the bar was raised.
The more I met it the more demands they made.
And now, I’m tired.
Just tired.
T.I.R.E.D.
Please help tell them
I didn’t run; I just didn’t sign up for it.
I didn’t change; I only just found myself.
I wasn’t late; I simply wasn’t going to come.
And I didn’t come; Not because I couldn’t make it, more because I couldn’t fake it. Not anymore!
Freedom lives here now.
And it feels so free to be free.
