Focus on little daily
Vacation in Miami with your significant other or dinner in a 5-star hotel has all shades of awesomeness.
A summer trip to Disney World or a boat cruise in Dubai on your birthday is definitely nourishing for any relationship.
Basking on the white sand beaches at the Maldives in your own private paradise is incredible and memorable.
A hike through the lush mountains in Hawaii with a private dip in the waterfalls is quite unparalleled and sensational.
Exotic beaches, beautiful sunsets, romantic restaurants, luxury resorts. Amazing feeling. Beautiful memories. But as much as these outlandish gestures are cool, they aren’t sufficient to sustain a relationship.
Do as many of them as you can but when you return it would matter to be consistent in little things because…
one intensive annual cleaning of your teeth at the dentist is good for your teeth but when you get up from bed the following morning, it’s the DAILY brushing of your teeth that keeps your mouth consistently clean.
one yearly long marathon with your community sport group may be rewarding to your body but it’s DAILY exercise that would really make you lose weight and stay fit.
one hour prayer monthly is great and remarkable but a 5mins prayer DAILY builds a stronger relationship with God and is more effective.
It’s the DAILY consistent small acts of kindness that keep our relationship thriving and healthy, not the huge overblown gestures of romantic love.
You can go on boat cruise, you can party in Dubai but when you return, still be able to
take a stroll together in the evening, make meals and wash the dishes together, send a random text message during the day to check how they are, say I love you without being coerced, serve a morning cup of tea, iron a dress, say Thank you for meals given, bills paid and errands run.
Lavish them with love and be effusive in your praise. E
Give encouraging words for projects they embark on, ventures they are involved in and causes they are passionate about.
These small gestures should be commonplace! These smaller acts of kindness have a cumulative effect and weigh far more than glamorous gestures of romantic love.
Focus on little daily.
